What are cookies?
Cookies are text files stored on your device (e.g., computer, laptop, smartphone) when you browse the Internet.
When you revisit our service, the browser sends the cookie back to the service (more precisely, its server), allowing us, for example, to recognize when a user visits us again.
Cookies have an expiration period after which they become inactive. In our services and applications, we also use similar technologies such as pixels, plugins, tags, and web beacons. Collectively these technologies are referred to as cookies.
By using cookies, we can collect and process information about the browser and its version, operating system, URL of the previously visited page, IP address, server request time, user ID, language, searches on the site, products added to the cart, authentication data, data about played content, and other activities within the service or application. The user identifier is combined with other data provided by you (e.g., email address, phone number).
What is the purpose of using cookies?
Some cookies are essential for the functioning of services and applications and for using their resources, improving efficiency by enabling faster location of necessary information.
Other cookies are used for analytic and statistical purposes or for marketing purposes (e.g., delivering tailored ads based on your activity or retargeting, i.e., delivering specific ads to you on other Internet sites). Cookies beyond those necessary for the functioning of our services and applications are installed only with your consent, which is voluntary and can be revoked at any time.
Do we use cookies from external entities?
Yes, when you use our services or applications, you may receive cookies from external entities with which we cooperate. We use these cookies mainly for analytics and marketing purposes.
We use or plan to use the following tools provided by external entities related to the use of cookies and identifiers: ● Google Tag Manager – a tool that allows managing tags placed on websites. The tool itself does not use cookies but manages tags that may lead to saving cookies.
Analytical tools
● Google Analytics – a tool used to collect analytical data such as counting visits to services or applications, studying duration of visits, and determining which functionalities or parts of services or applications are most used or visited. Google Analytics uses cookies and creates pseudonymized user profiles. IP addresses collected by the tool are anonymized so that assignment to a specific user is impossible. You can block collecting information about your activity by Google Analytics using the page: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
● The Hotel Network – a tool used to collect data about user behavior and preferences on our services, e.g., time spent on specific pages, most clicked elements, behavior in the booking engine. THN stores the above information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither THN nor we will use this information to identify individual users or link them to further user data.
Marketing tools
● SMSapi – tools supporting automation of marketing and sales processes, including processing marketing and sales data and their complex analytics in a multi-channel model (reaching users via various channels such as push notifications, SMS, MMS, chat, phone, etc., and different devices such as computer, smartphone, tablet, phone)
● Google Ads – Google’s advertising system enabling the display of text, graphic, and video ads as well as sponsored links in Google search results and on partner sites within the Google AdSense program
● Google Marketing Platform – platform allowing the use of many Google marketing tools to deliver targeted ads, avoid showing ads already seen, optimize campaigns, and monitor their performance. You can block Google advertising tools by visiting: www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin
● Facebook (Meta) Ads Manager – Facebook’s advertising system allowing creation, purchase, and management of ads on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook’s Audience Network. We use Facebook Pixel on our websites. It allows us to track activities on our website and based on it, display ads tailored to your needs or show ads to other Facebook users with a profile similar to yours. Facebook users can manage ad preferences at: www.facebook.com/ads/preferences (additionally, under Ad Settings on this page, you can disable personalizing ads delivered by Facebook using data from us), other users at: www.facebook.com/settings/ads/ or via youronlinechoices.com/pl/twojewybory
Additionally, aside from the tools listed above, cookies from other external advertising entities are used in our services and applications. Our cookies, cookies from providers of the mentioned tools, and cookies from other external providers collect information about user activity in our services or applications. This information may be used to present personalized content and offers tailored to your potential interests and to run advertising campaigns including retargeting.
Using these cookies, information is collected such as that you visited our services and what activities you performed there. They allow us and external providers to reach specific user groups, users who previously visited our services or applications, and to monitor advertising campaign execution.
You can block targeted ads from providers belonging to the "About Ads" program using the page www.aboutads.info/choices or the "European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance" via www.youronlinechoices.com/pl/twojewybory. Blocking must be set for each browser. It remains effective until cookies are deleted from the browser.
